When did I first find this design?
Anyway, I've been wanting to stitch this pattern for a long time, but I always hesitated because I couldn't find a suitable fabric.
But as it turned out, I had started my own hand-dyed linen business during those 10 years, and had even dyed the fabric the perfect color for this design.
I was wondering what to put on the persimmon-colored *Brick Dust*... I wanted to stitch something for Halloween, but I didn't think it would be ready in time for Halloween this year... I wondered if there was a good chart to follow...
And then it hit me!
I thought this was the perfect fabric color for Alice by Kyoko Maruoka!
Wow, I had no choice but to go for it!
I was so happy that I did it.
And I was deeply moved by the fact that you never know what will happen in life.
The two stars were so cute that I had a very pleasant time stitching them.
I was especially impressed with the use of color and was often surprised to see the gradation of mushrooms in dark orange and raspberry, which would normally not matched each other, and the flowers and leaves in those colors. It was so much fun to go stitch by stitch that I was sad to see it end.
*Brick Dust* did a great job putting together this wonderland of colors!
When Alice and the Caterpillar are not there.
When the photos are arranged in reverse order like this, there is a sense of desolation, as if Alice and the Caterpillar had gone home after the performance.
However, I took these photos to make it easier to see the fabric colors, and I was convinced that *Brick Dust* could be used in a wide range of designs.
