🌰 Chestnut (Kuri-iro)
Chestnut is a deep reddish-brown, reminiscent of slowly simmered chestnut skins.

A rich, warm tone created with the wish to hold every shade of autumn’s brown within a single piece of linen.

Dyed generously to a fully saturated state, this color carries depth and quiet intensity.

It may feel just a little excited about the stitches it will one day hold.

🎨 About Hand-Dyeing

Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, slight variations in color tone and depth may occur depending on the weave of the base linen and the dyeing process.
Each piece has its own unique character, which we hope you will enjoy as part of the charm of hand-dyed linen.


⚠️ Notes on Using Dark-Colored Linen

At White Bear Linens, each piece is carefully rinsed and finished to minimize color transfer during normal stitching use.

However, with deeply dyed colors such as Chestnut, a very small amount of dye release may occur due to the nature of the dye.

Please avoid washing finished embroidery pieces or soaking them in water for extended periods.

When used dry, the linen will not transfer color to your clothing or skin during stitching, so you may use it with confidence.

Although not officially recommended, even when gently washed for a short time in cold water using detergents intended for dry cleaning, color transfer to embroidery threads is extremely unlikely.

That said, please proceed at your own discretion.

🧼 Care Instructions

Although the fabric has been treated to help set the color, we recommend gentle hand washing in water using a mild detergent.
If your embroidery uses threads that may bleed, please avoid washing the finished piece.
