Introducing “Basic Beige”

I love to stitch samplers, but sometimes it's hard to find fabrics that match designs I want to stitch.

Almost all stitch designers have published photos of their samplers, and they also clearly state the name of the dyeyer and the name of the fabric used for the sampler, but sometimes it is difficult to find the same thing (especially from Japan), or if it is an old chart, the fabric color has already been discontinued... I also wondered how I could compare the colors of the fabrics.

And don't you sometimes find yourself lost and exhausted compared to this and that?

I have had times when I want to decide on a fabric that will work with my design, but I get so worried that I lose track.

That's why, when I first thought about stitching on linen that I dyed myself, what I thought I'd try first was"simple colors that are easy to use for any design."

Even when I was tired of worrying and fretting about fabric choices, I thought: "I can just pick this!" So versatile color.

This"Basic Beige"was created by trial and error.

Really, it's a shade that doesn't have a habit.

I don't want to say that it doesn't have a personality, but it's a color that doesn't have any peculiarities.

However, I think that it will bring out the color of the embroidery thread and the many wonderful designs created by designers around the world.

Even if the fabric color itself doesn't stand out, it's a good thing that makes threads colors and stitch design's personality stand out.

I wanted to create a fabric color with such tolerant and potential, so I was really happy when I dyed this color for the first time.

In the next blog, I will introduce the work that I stitched in Basic Beige.
